Keyboards

About the page

One of the our aims is to maintain, research, and preserve documentation and information on vintage input devices, keyboards, and occasionally computers and data systems. Modern systems and interfaces tend to be significantly more universal - just look at the introduction of USB, HDMI and the current OS marketshare.

However, it was not always like this, and hardware from the past uses all sorts of types of interfaces, connectors, proprietary operating systems that are no longer actively maintained - with some organizations continuing to rely on such old hardware, including sects of the U.S. government, we think that it is necessary to make information and research on old hardware freely available to the public.
