PR1ME Computer 5340

This Pr1me Computer 5340 was donated by Don Koch, who worked for Pr1me. It was introduced in 1992, and was known as a Horizontal Bobcat. The microcoded 32-bit CPU has a performance rating of 5 MIPS.

The chassis is made from four stackable layers. At the bottom is a heavy steel plate with large caster wheels on the bottom. The next layer is the card cage that holds the power supply, processor, memory, and I/O boards. The next layer is storage. It holds three SCSI disk drives and a power supply. The top layer is mostly decorative, and holds the power and reset switches, and the indicators. Each layer snaps onto the layer below.
