Data General Eclipse S/130

On June 27, 2002 the RICM rescue squad visited the Cyclotron facility at Harvard University to rescue a pair if Data General Eclipse S/130 systems. One system was running last year as a controller for a CAT scanner. The other system was used for spare parts.

System #1 is a Eclipse S/130, Model #8611-NBX, S/N SO# 17747-21 090. It is made up of four card cages.

System #2 is a Eclipse S/130, Model #8611-NBX, S/N SO# 17747-17 040. It is made up of three card cages because the lower card cage that contains the Zebra disk adapters is missing.

The boards plug into the chassis from the right side.

The I/O cables connect to the backplane in line with the I/O board. Some I/O cables have connectors on the end and plug onto the long tails of the backplane connectors. Some I/O cables are wire-wrapped onto the connector pins.
