CROMEMCO System Three

Cromemco was started in 1976 in Mountain View California by two Stanford graduate students, Harry Garland and Roger Melen. The company's first products were add on boards for the MITS Altair S-100 bus computers. By 1983 the company had about 500 employees and about $55 Million/year in sales. The company was sold to Dynatech in 1987.

This System Three was introduced in 1978 and could run BASIC and FORTRAN IV under the CDOS or CROMIX operating systems. It has dual Persci 270 floppy drives with a capacity of 1.2MB each.
