Grundy Business Systems, Ltd., Newbrain

The design of this system was started at Sinclair Radionics, moved to Newbury Laboratories, and eventually sold to Grundy Business systems of Teddington & Cambridge England. Grundy sold more than 50,000 of these systems. It was produced in two models, the "A" that needed a TV for the display, and the "AD" that also included a 16 character display. An audio cassette was usually used for program storage. An expansion chassis was available that allowed the use of CP/M 2.2 and floppy disks. The NewBrain enthusiasts WWW site is here.
